Ayla Simone is
one of San Diego’s top female DJ’s. Remaining a focus in the nightlife industry she was recently featured in 944 magazine
as a rising DJ of 2011. In high demand for her energized club sets,
she's been working non-stop. Although based in Southern California you
can catch her rocking dance floors in Houston, Denver, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Canada and more. Some
of recent performances include support for Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Gareth Emery and LMFAO. She has also shared the
stage with Fedde Le Grand, Dev (“Like a G6), Bassnectar, Infected
Mushroom, and Wynter Gordon (“Dirty Talk), to name a few. In the past
year she released three mix CD’s including, Nothing But Love, The Red
Room, and Rise which have been featured on the EV Music Podcast and
other top blogs among international talent. She continues to work on
various remixes and song edits that shake dance floors nationwide. With
her love of music combined with a strong work ethic, there's no question
that Ayla Simone is quickly becoming a dance-floor staple across the
U.S and beyond.
Though originally from San Diego, Ayla Simone began her music career in 2001 as the youngest member of the Eclipse show on 88.5 FM in Boulder, Colorado. At just 15 years of age it was clear that music was her path. Surrounded by talented DJs she began to cultivate her style through playing live sessions on the radio, at concert venues and co-producing the Eclipse Show from 2001-2006. In 2005 (then known as DJ Advice) she collaborated with Grammy winning musicians forming the group Mr. DSP which was named 2006 LA Music Award's "Best Electronica Artist of the year" for their first CD, "Armchair Intelligentsia / Dance floor Superheroes". She then re-located back to San Diego and co-produced the Bonita Applebum Show on Earthbound Radio. Once she reached the San Diego scene in 2007 she hit the ground running. Her unique style as a DJ and artist, has attracted the attention of many different promoters and members of the fashion community, spinning for companies like DJhere, Eventvibe, Fortune 421, Soul on Beat, Entourage and Orange County’s 3x events. She also plays at runway shows, fashion parties, and sponsored functions for companies including Red Bull, Thread Show, and Lust 4 Luxe (official MTV VMA hand bag sponsor of 2008).
She seamlessly brings music from the classic age to the current and beyond with a sultry twist.
