Slash Tribute Event with performance by The Head Cat

On Thursday, August 26, 2010, SSMF will honor legendary guitarist and Sunset Strip icon Slash at the third annual tribute event.

SSMF will celebrate Slash, who is synonymous with The Sunset Strip, for his contributions to the history of The Strip as well as the music industry. The tribute event kicks off the three-day music fest and honors icons who have made an impact on the legacy of The Sunset Strip. The Aug. 26 event will take place at the House of Blues Sunset Strip. Adding to the celebration, the City of West Hollywood will also declare Aug. 26, 2010, “Slash Day.”

The tribute event will include words from Slash's close friends, a presentation from the City of West Hollywood and live music performance celebrating Slash.

The Head Cat will perform a special set celebrating 2010 SSMF honoree Slash. The performance immediately follows the Tribute.
