08.18.12 "Saturday" at The Grand:: Featuring DIRTY VEGAS with BISHOPEMAGNETIC & Opening Set by Manipulated Muzic

Christian Pineiro presents "WE HAVE ISSUES" featuring Supper Star Djs from around the globe. On the 2nd installment we bring to you Grammy Award "Best Dance Recording" DJ/Producers DIRTY VEGAS at The Grand, the only inspired Vegas club in San Francisco with the most amazing production and decor.
Along this amazing DJ Trio, we have an special live appearance by BISHOPEMAGNETIC and Opening the night, San Francisco's fastest upcoming Duo Manipulated Muzic (Hands up Halloran & Sk0step).

DIRTY VEGAS:
Dirty Vegas are a Grammy Award winning band, comprising of Ben Harris and Paul Harris (no relation) on Guitar/keyboard as well as DJ-ing and production, along with the distinctive vocal talents of Steve Smith.
Dirty Vegas exploded onto the scene with their self-titled debut album, which was one of 2002’s most provocative and popular releases, earning massive commercial success, along with unanimous critical acclaim. The collection made a huge impact upon its arrival, landing at number 7 on the billboard 200, selling close to a million records worldwide.
Single from the album, ‘Days Go By’, was a major dance and pop crossover sensation, which hit the top spot in the billboard Dance Chart in June 2002. The track also scored the band a 2003 Grammy Award for Best Dance Single.
Following the release of the album, and their Grammy success, they went on to tour the four corners of the globe, developing a reputation as a powerful and entertaining live act. In a rollercoaster two years, the band headlined their own worldwide tour, supported such like-minded artists as Moby and Groove Armada and stole the show at a number of international festivals, including Coachella, V Festival, Roskilde and Fuji Rock.

Other highlights included recording an acoustic version of the Beatles classic ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ for the last ever episode of Friends, performed an unforgettable live version of ‘Days Go By / One Nation Under A Groove’ with the legendary Bootsy Collins, won a Playboy magazine award and shot a video with Supermodel Helena Christensen!

In 2004 they released a second, more organic album, ‘One’, which included the powerful and ‘Given You Everything’ and the deeply emotive Human Love. The first single ‘Walk Into The Sun’ set the dance floors on fire and UK radio station XFM playlisted the track for a full 8 weeks. But some felt that the experimental sound was too far from the first album, and following the album the band went their separate ways to work on solo projects.
Back to present day, and finally, after a four year break they’re back, and on top form. They’ve written the score to new film ‘Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down’ and with pen to paper, hi-hat to kickdrum, guitar riff to bass line, they’re working on a new album. An EP will be coming very soon, along with some exclusive ‘live shows’ in the following months.

BISHOPEMAGNETIC:
One of San Francisco's hottest new indie electro DJ acts, which brings together the amazing talents of producer/singer/songwriter Sason Bishope Parry & DJ/producer Meikee Magnetic. BM writes, produces and performs all of their own music. Their sets feature a fusion of Electro/Indie/Dance-Punk/House/Mash-ups & original BM tracks. The live show sometimes features vocals, live musicians, guest MC’s, performance artists, lighting and video. Whether DJing or performing originals live, their production and energy is intense! The project was spawned in Miami at the world famous Ultra Music Festival/WMC 2010 where the duo was well received and given a closing set encore. BM has been invited back to play UMF 3 years in a row.
Their shows have taken them from coast to coast headlining and making appearances at the Bump IV festival, Ruby Skye 2x, Womp(Treasure Island), 944 Magazine/Spotlights Cabana Pool Parties, opening sets for Mickey Avalon, Dirt Nasty, headlined BootieSF, Hollywood and as far as Mexico City where they played a radio event opening up for Cut Copy. Currently they are working on their debut album and will be shooting a new video for single, "Futuristic Lies", in August, which also features Enzyme Dynomite and Death Valley Highs Reyka Osbourne. Bishopemagnetic is on the rise and one act to keep your eyes on!
