BRADLEY, CALIFORNIA -- The new year has barely begun, but this year's Lightning in a Bottle Festival is going to be so collosal that it's time to prepare NOW.
Tomorrow, in fact - Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10AM PST - is when early bird tickets go on sale for the Memorial Day Weekend music and arts festival, and they will be discounted for only 24 hours. On Tuesday at 10AM PST, General Admission tickets will go on sale at a still relatively low price for the 4-day event, filled with live art and music, yoga, unconventional workshops, world-renowned inspiring speakers and more. All important links and ticket info are at the bottom of this article.
All tickets include tent camping, but you'll need to purchase a car camping pass if you want to bring your car in the grounds. I'd highly recommend the car camping pass based on how hilly and large the Lake San Antonio recreation area venue is, but you'll want to carpool since space is limited.
Freaking out because you can't afford the tickets this week? You can still secure this low price by purchasing a payment plan at the top of the ticket page, which will allow you to pay small amounts over the next few months. As long as you make your payments on time, you'll be guaranteed a ticket.
As LiB inspires more and more people all over the world, it was only fitting to expand the event. This year, experience curators The Do LaB will open the massive gathering one day early on Wednesday, May 25th for those who purchase an Early Arrival Pass. Wednesday will not host any musical performances but will provide an extra day to snag a prime camping spot (which fill up insanely quick), and enjoy all the workshops, yoga, speakers and classes at the Temple of Consciousness, Village, and Learning Kitchen. If you can make it early, Wednesday looks to be just as exceptional as the rest of the week, and still holds a few celebrations at night.
Along with an expanded week of festivities comes another addition to LiB Festival - the High Grounds Camp. Located directly across from the main festival grounds, this new campground provides the shortest walk to the stages and a spectacular view of the festival. You'll want to purchase the Early Arrival pass to get a chance to be the first Lib-bers to camp there.
Another new feature in 2016 that is extremely exciting is the introduction of Lightning Talks. This visionary video series includes the incredible lectures from 2015's festival that you may have missed or simply want to watch again. What a relief, since it's absolutely impossible to catch every workshop or speaker at the jam-packed festival. By subscribing to the Lightning Talks video series, you'll experience a new video very Tuesday from the best of 2015's presenters that truly changed lives or inspired change from attendees, on topics of "science, creativity, spirituality, love, media, healing, philosophy" and much more.

You can also read a refreshingly candid interview I did with The Do Lab co-founder Dede Flemming, who revealed several interesting aspects of what their vision was when they started LiB, how it grew to a global scale and what's next for the festival leaders. "We wanted people to come in and have an experience that was more than music," he explained in one pivotal moment of the interview.
Last year's musical lineup included headliners Flume, SBTRKT, Odesza, Tycho, RL Grime, John Digweed, Griz and many more. To get an idea, check out the lineup from 2015 here.
Finally, watch the freshly released Official Lightning in a Bottle 2015 Video recap created by Media Stranger:
With hundreds of globally accomplished musicians, artists, philosophers, teachers, festival producers, and most importantly, an unmatched crowd of attendees, everyone who contributes will have a different experience at LiB. The fun comes in choosing your own adventure.
So, set your alarms for tomorrow, Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10AM PST. You won't want to miss out on this 24-hour discounted presale!
