The West Coast’s premiere boutique camping festival Northern Nights returns to the historic Cook’s Valley Campground where they have made their home for the past three years. Under the Northern California stars surrounded by ancient redwood trees, it’s no secret why Northern Nights would return to this location with breathtaking natural scenery to create a magical experience you will never forget.
From July 15-18, all types of people will gather together to get away from their everyday responsibilities to enter a world of wonder. Three days of camping on the EEL River with beautiful people surrounded by music, entertainment, nature and love makes Northern Nights a place you can get that nostalgic vibe you have been craving. Not to mention there's an all-night silent disco for you and your friends to dance the night away under the colorful lights of Northern Nights. You can give into the enchanted forest and open your mind for a truly unique experience. There are an array of vendors, food, art (including live art) and other activities like comedy and yoga.
Northern Nights is so much more than just a music festival; it’s an experience and a community. For three blissful days out of the year people are given the opportunity to unplug themselves from day to day life and reconnect with not only nature, but fellow music-loving humans as well. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never heard of any of the artists who play #NNMF because it is so much more than that. It is a feeling. Most people I have spoken to that have been to the festival said they feel at home.
“Northern Nights is important to me because it is the one time of year when I get to walk away from normalcy and reconnect with my child like self that yearns to explore and connect and dream," says Jasmine of San Mateo, CA. "A part of my heart will always live there nestled between the ancient redwoods and beautiful EEL River."
Additionally, there are three choices of camping areas. You can camp by the river, right on the riverfront of EEL River where you can feel free to swim or float around. If you camp in the redwood grove, you are surrounded with an amazing aroma and natural shade from the colossal redwood trees. Or, camp in the meadow which is closest to the Main Stage. This is where you want to be if you want to be closest to the music at all times. Meadow camping is also pond-side and right in the middle of all the other stages! For those who aren’t the camping type, there is a VIP hotel, shuttle and ticket package.
